Racharikam Telugu Movie Review 2025

Racharikam is a Telugu action drama movie directed by Suresh Lankalapalli. The movie casts Vijay Shankar, Varun Sandesh, and Apsara Rani in the main lead roles along with Esshwar Vase, Srikanth Iyengar, Mahesh Achanta, Hyper Aadi, and many others have seen in supporting roles. The music was composed by Vengi while the cinematography was done by Arya Sai Krishna and it is edited by Janaki Rm. The film is produced by Esshwar Vase under Chill Bross Entertainment banner.

Political drama films have been scarce these days from Telugu Cinema but director Suresh and producer Esshwar hve decided to bring a 1980’s themed political drama in Telangana village backdrop. Apasara Rani, who became famous with her bold portrayal in RGV films and item song in Ravi Teja’s Krack, did a leading role in the movie. Popular actor Varun Sandesh has also acted in the film in a prominent role. Let’s discuss in detail about the film. 

Plot: 

In a Telangana village, Rachakonda in 1980’s, Bhargavi Reddy (Apsara Rani) and her brother Vivek Reddy (Varun Sandesh) want to enter into politics and establish themselves big time. A youth leader from Mana Shakti Party, Shiva (Vijay Shankar) treats RSF leader Kranti (Esshwar) as his mentor. Bhargavi falls in love with Shiva but her father Raja Reddy (Srikant Iyengar) disapproves of this relationship. Bhargavi has to fight for his love and also political existence as her brother Vivek is also against her. What will she do? How will this love story laced with political ambitions progress further? Analysis: 

Varun Sandesh and Apsara Rani gave their best to the roles. Each expression and their nuanced portrayal is good for the script. Vijay Shankar is also good surprisingly, and Esshwar, who is also produce did his best. The entire film revolves around their performances and they did their best. But writing could have been better in second hour of the film. Still, their performances engage us into the story and screenplay. 

Technically, movie is good and production values are also good considering the budget and star cast. The movie attempts to mix political world of rivaliries with romance and many tender moments touch our heart. With more emphasis on drama, at places the harsh reality works as bursting the bubble in this screenplay. But such moments are sprinkled here and there with some shallow scenes staying for longer duration. 

Music and Background score are apt for the film while visually also movie is pleasing on the eye. Had the writing been even stronger in the second hour, with such good performances movie could have been even better. Still, the movie is easily watchable and can be categorised a good attempt from an aspiring team. Watch the film if you love a gripping political drama.

A very decent attempt.
